Tagger Crew

The people who do the tagging—the active members representing their block through spray paint or markers. A tagger crew earns respect by consistently hitting territory, showing presence, and defending their turf if someone tries to cross them.
“Those tagger crews in the Northwest 48219 zip don’t play—if you erase their paint, expect pushback.”—Detroiter

Tagger Crews

Street crews known for repping their identity through graffiti — usually with three- or four-letter acronyms or coded alphanumeric ciphers. They earn respect by consistently tagging walls, marking territory, and defending their turf if someone dares to cross them. They might not be full-blown gangs, but they’re definitely not pushovers — disrespect their tags, and you might end up on their opp list.
Aye, don’t touch that wall — the tagger crews from around here beefin over that spot. You tryna get pressed?” — Neighborhood locals

Fogey/fogy /fougi/ sl. (early 18C+, orig. Scot) old-fashioned, stuck-in-the mud.
Person with old fashioned ideas which he is unwilling to change: Come to the disco and stop being such an old fogey!
You think me an old fogeyand an old tory, his thoughtful voice said. I saw three generations since O’Connel’s time. I remember the famine. Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue? You fenians forget some things. (James Joyce, Ulysses. Penguin Books,1992. p. 38)
