1) Sudden Death overtime is the extra period given in hockey when the game is tied after the 3 20 minute regulation periods. Whoever scores wins the game. In the NHL, during regular season, Sudden Death is 5 minutes long and is followed by a shoot out if a deciding goal has yet to be scored. In the playoffs, Sudden Death overtime is 20 minutes. Only followed by a shoot out after OVER 9000 overtimes.

Powers Boothe's character has held the Vice President hostage in his box suite along with the daughter of Jean Claude Van Damme's character, and has planted bombs all over Mellon Arena, which Van Damme must diffuse. I'm pretty sure this movie was supposed to be a serious action flick, but I found it absolutely hilarious.
