A woman who is beginning her period without wearing a pad or tampon and leaves some red on her panties. Can also be used for a man: the act of pushing out a fart and drawing mud, leaving a small stain on your drawers. Similar to touching cloth, or skid marks.

Layne was priming his bowels for a huge dump when he ripped ass and inadvertently started spotting.

A unique way of smoking marijuana. Put two kitchen knives on a stove/oven/something really hot. You warm the knives up until they're very very hot, then you get both the knives (Make sure to wrap the part of the knife where you'll be grabbing it. Then, Get a little glob of weed, preferably about 1/2 of a bud then make sure it sits/sticks to one knife then crunch the weed with the flat part of both the knives, this should produce a large amount of smoke. Make sure theres a cut bottle for the smoke to raise into, then when its full, suck all the smoke out.. Its probably one of the strongest ways of getting high.

There maybe other definitions to this way of smoking it, but this is the name used in New Zealand.

Bob : I saw this chick spotting when I went to her house the other day?

Me: Oh true did you have some spots?

Bob : Hells yeah they fully fu*ked me up!

Spotting

A very efficient way of smoking, mostly popular in New Zealand, where marijuana is rolled into small balls (or spots) and pressed between 2 hot knives, while the user positions their mouth above and inhales all the smoke. Most people will use a gas stove to heat the knives, but more experienced users may make a portable spotter by attaching the knife to a small blowtorch.
Even a tiny spot will produce a fair bit of smoke, and get you about as high as one cone/bowl/bong hit, and it feels smoother to inhale, so it's a great way of making your weed last longer.

Paul: Yo let's smoke this fucking bud!
Dazza: Shall we roll it into spots?
Paul: Nah bro I have an electric stove, we can't
