Rhody Slide

The Rhode Island equivalent to the California roll, where the driver slows down enough to look both ways (this is optional) and to make the brake lights come on appearing as though and actual stop was made.

You call that a stop? You just Rhody slide through stop signs and eventually you're going to get a ticket.

To pull into oncoming traffic little by little. One demonstrates a high level of nerve when this is done on busy roads.

I got so frustrated that nobody would stop to let me go that I started doing the Rhode Island Slide until they had no choice but to either stop or hit me.

To roll through a stop sign, or intersection without coming to a complete stop.

Nobody ever stops completely at the four way intersection on Wilbur Avenue in Cranston. They just keep doing the Rhode Island Slide...
