Pan-Aesthetics
A cultural and philosophical tendency to transform literally anything—objects, ideas, institutions, suffering, injustice, even genocide—into an aesthetic category. Pan-aesthetics doesn't just appreciate beauty; it dissolves the distinction between the beautiful and the ugly, the sacred and the profane, the trivial and the horrific, by treating everything as a potential style or vibe. A war becomes a "color palette," poverty becomes an "austeritycore," trauma becomes a "mood board." The effect is to neutralize moral and emotional weight, reducing all experience to surface, texture, and visual consumption. Pan-aesthetics is the logic of Pinterest and Instagram mood boards applied to reality itself.
Example: "She saw a documentary on famine and immediately started a 'starvationcore' Pinterest board—pan-aesthetics, turning human suffering into interior design."
