PLEDGIDENCE

The feeling of cautious, anxious waiting for
Someone's actions,
where you've committed to believing in their
potential (the benefit of the doubt) but are
already steeling yourself for the high probability of an unfavorable outcome (the disappointment). It is the state of hope
leveraged against dread.

I was watching Episode 5 of one of my favorite reality dating competition shows and on the episode one of my favorite contestants had to witness what all of them do when coupled up, and as she watched him laugh with the new bombshell by the pool, a sharp pang of PLEDGIDENCE tightened in her chest 🤨🤔😔she wanted to believe his loyalty was real, but she knew exactly how that scene usually ended.❤️ 🔥💔❤️ 🩹❤️ 🔥.
