Noetic Reclamation

Noetic reclamation is the intentional restoration of authorship, provenance, meaning, and creative identity when a person experiences their intellectual or creative contributions as having been appropriated or separated from their source. Through documentation, attribution, symbolic marking, embodiment, boundary-setting, and continued creation, the creator re-establishes their relationship to the work without requiring control over another person's consciousness or property.

The energetic essence is not reclaimed by chasing the copy. It is reclaimed by returning to the source.

That could make noetic reclamation a particularly strong counterpart to your concept of noetic appropriation: one describes the extraction of knowing; the other describes the process of restoring authorship, agency, lineage, and creative sovereignty.

Noetic Reclamation has been an important process and practice after leaving cult and trafficking spaces where my energy, essence and ideas were attempted to be packaged for capitalism and exploited to make money. I call and claim all of my creative enterprise, essence, energy and ideas back to me!
