Muad'Dib

Muad'Dib is the fictional character from the Frank Herbert science fiction work "Dune". Muad'Dib is the Fremen name for a desert mouse, an animal revered for it's persistance on the dunes of Arrakis.

The character Paul Atreides adopts this name as his Fremen title. The Fremen are pleased with his choice, because it was prohepsied that Dune's Messiah would bear the name "Muad'Dib".
