Maria João
A girl named Maria João is usually one of the best friends you can have. She is very quiet and shy around new people, but that’s just because she is judging if you are worthy of their precious time (not to be wasted on dull weird people, understandably). Once she has decided you’re trustworthy, she will lit up your life! She is goofy, funny, deadly gorgeous, super smart and usually small, but she stands her ground. Etymologically a “maryjane” is gracious and kind but once trust is betrayed, she will forever remember that – which is basically true, so better not to mess with her! Living well is important to her, and she will be happy when well fed. She overthinks basically every human interaction ever to exist, but in a day-to-day basis she is easy-going, practical, self-reliant, stoic and ambitious. She pours her heart in everything she does and has a way of understanding the heart of the ones in need. She is determined and will keep going when others would’ve given up ten kilometers back, even if she has doubts on her potential. She can be so down-to-earth that sometimes their gaze tips downwards (and focus on the negatives rather than the possibilities) and should be be encouraged to believe in her gigantic potential and dream the dreams she deserves. Maria João will always have your back and love you even if you are not the type of person that wants to run a marathon like she does. She is the best person towards the people she loves the most and is the best hugger.
