I have to work this weekend. My boss told me it’s optional, but I really know it’s mandatoptional. If I don’t go in, I will get fired.

Something you are told is optional to do, but you know you will get in trouble if you don’t do it.

The boss said we are behind in our workload, so staying an extra hour is mandatoptional for everyone.
