The characteristic word defining a moment of greatness that Jeremy Lin, an NBA player, who was undrafted out of Harvard and nearly cut three times until he was given significant playing time due to desperation for the New York Knicks. The 2012 craze brought on by former Harvard grad and NBA D-Leaguer, Jeremy Lin. After going undrafted out of college Lin spent time in the NBA D-league. Eventually the 2012 NY Knicks picked up the rising athlete to fill the spot of habitually injured Baron Davis. When given the opportunity to play due to injured superstars Carmello Anthony and Amare Stoudemire the young star excelled to the point of becoming a national icon.
