The logical rules by which photographers operate (and thus understand) their equipment.

The LightRules state, in part, that the effective high-speed operation of a camera shutter is controlled by (a) user setting, (b) shutter speed and (c) in-camera memory.

LightRules Moment 

Noun; Temporary loss of all common sense and logic usually resulting in a silly remark, comment or question. Similar but much, much worse than a "Blond Moment", a "Brain Fade" or a "Senior Moment". Etymology attributed to user name, LightRules on a photography forum, term now known to be in general use in 7 countries around the world.
