Legionnaire 

A person, generally male, who tries to turn a friendly platonic relationship into a romantic one by ensuring they are available at beck and call and performing numerous helpful favours over a long period of time such that they gradually compromise his or her's own dignity in doing so.
Andy: Do you think that dude Eddie likes Callie? They're friends, but he sure keeps going out of his way for her. I wonder if she notices.
Fabricio: He's such a legionnaire.

Legionnaire's Disease 

The disease caused by spending many many hours at your local watering hole, in this case, the American Legion. Onset usually occurs hours to days after drinking has begun. Symptoms include: moderate to extreme embarrassment, dehydration, regret, shame, perhaps a general feeling of "what the hell happened last night?" etc
Are you guys up for a Sunday picnic this afternoon? I'm not sure we'll be able to make it, Joe was out last night and has a severe case of legionnaire's disease today!
