The act of boasting about one's attributes or accomplishments, usually before a sizable audience. Self aggrandization of the highest order. Usually carried out in the absence of underlings who would normally carry out such a task for the self ass-kisser.
"Professor Smith spent half the lecture talking about his double doctorate and the 39 papers he wrote."
"Yeah, he was really kissing his own ass eh?"
"Yeah, he was really kissing his own ass eh?"
