Jacktress

Jacktress: A woman capable of doing many trades. Similar to the saying for a man, "a Jack of all trades". So therefore the saying goes in old historic Hangtown, California. Commonly known as Placerville, California in El Dorado County. Home to California's Gold Movement of James Marshalls discovery of gold in the 1800's. The saying goes around here for woman who work like a man or takes up trades similar to how men do. But are often frowned upon untill they are given a chance. " A Jacktress is looked at as trades of none, but if given the chance will prove to be better than a master of one."
