Informational materialism

Share definition Flag
The strategy of a deployment of frame of references, that are then picked up by the masses, who in turn , run with their own applications of the ideas, surrounding this new concept.

The alternative viewpoint being deployed that, everything is living, simultaneously in sn ever evoving architecture, that is not limited to the sensory world, whereby words and concepts are the only way ,human sensory perception and concepts can be created. Therefore everything will eventually be owned and fed to a person or society by the organiser of the informational materialism and owner of the interface.
Do you want to take the red or the blue pill?
Blue is the known world of informational materialism, where everything is known, colourful and comforting to your emotional frame of reference, or take the Red.
The rabbit hole, whereby you have to figure out your own frame of reference , with no map, but an existential journey, all alone.

Informational Fallacy

Share definition Flag
The fallacious belief that only that which can be quantified, digitally encoded, or formally computed is "real" or constitutes valid knowledge. It dismisses qualitative experiences, subjective consciousness, moral intuitions, and analog phenomena as "illusions" or "epiphenomena" because they cannot be fully captured in a discrete, measurable data stream. It's a form of extreme reductionism that mistakes the map (the informational model) for the territory (lived reality).
Example: "Love is just a biochemical algorithm for gene propagation. If you can't model it in a neural network or measure it in serotonin levels, it's not a real phenomenon, just a story we tell." This statement commits the Informational Fallacy by asserting that the computable aspect is the only reality, reducing a rich human experience to mere data processing.

Striver

Share definition Flag
The striver is an interesting phenomenon that is seen across college campuses. In essence, the striver is an over-achiever who comes from a working or middle class family. He may be an immigrant. He may have been a slacker in HS who was "born again" into an academic wunderkind. Or he may just be an over-achiever who is keeping at it.

The striver is willing to sacrifice his social life at the expense of Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude. The striver is the guy who stays at the library long after you are gone. The striver is the guy who takes 30 credits/semester and considers anything below an A/4.0 failure. The striver doesn't work on campus, he is too busy finding ways to pad his resume instead of working retail or workstudy. The striver lets his grades pay his education by applying to ten scholarships a year.

The striver is a future Soros/Fullbright/Rhodes/Gates/Marshall/etc. fellow. The striver lives to study. For the striver, their fun comes from the rewards they expect to receive in return for their diligence. Be it Law School, B-School, academia, or politics. The striver seeks to find the American Dream through academic success.
Anthony was a striver. He transfered from a TTT to an IVY and graduated in 2 years. He studied his ass off and went to Penn Law. He got a Biglaw offer. But lost it all because of an unmoderated mesasgeboard.
