Inactivist

A portmanteau of "internet" and "activist" to more efficiently and accurately label and understand self-described "activists" who "spread awareness," complain about stuff or make idle demands about how things ought to be or the way they should be done online in petitions, blogs, forums, comment sections and social media, but who have no real intention, plan or ability to do or participate in anything in real life; especially those who post under pseudonyms out of fearful pretense that they are of any consequence to the powers that be against whom they believe they so fervently struggle.

The politically-minded prototype for the "social media influencer," more accurately and concisely known as "floozies."

The inactivists are posting up a storm this week, we can probably expect some sternly-worded online petitions soon.

Inactivist

An inactivist is any ideologue who claims merit for activism, while doing little more than complain to their circle of friends about what should be done to further their ideology.

An inactivist claims to fight for a cause, while only engaging in actions that further their own popularity.
While claiming to fight for equal rights, the internet inactivist rarely left his computer, or engaged in any offline protests.

intactivism

Activism to end infant circumcision based on human rights grounds, i.e. on the grounds that infants cannot consent to genital surgery that lacks any corrective or other immediate health benefit.
Due to some timely intactivism, the young woman was able to resist the doctor's suggestion that her healthy and happy newborn son be circumcised merely to mirror his father's circumcised penis.

intactivism

the act of raising awareness that men should have the right to choose whether or not they keep their entire penis they were born with and that partial genital amputations should not be performed on babies.
Thanks to some well-timed intactivism, the expectant mother realized that we as a society should not be cutting erogenous body parts off of non-consenting members of our society.

inactivism

Sporting different color magnetic ribbons or bumper stickers that say "Free Tibet" on your car. It may be a "support our troops" yellow ribbon, a pink breast cancer ribbon, or any number of preposterous incarnations meant to capitalize on this trend. When you put stickers and magnets on your car, you aren't doing anything to support the cause. Thus, inactivism.
Julie has a "Free Tibet" sticker on her Subaru. But she hasn't done anything to actually help free Tibet. She also has an orange-spotted green ribbon that supports narcoleptic dogs. This doesn't do anything for narcoleptic dogs. This is inactivism.

intactivist

Someone who loves, honors, respects and protects the rights of the child to an intact body. Someone who sees genital mutilation -- of girls or boys -- as a contradiction to that fundamental human right.
The intactivist writes books about childhood sexual abuse in the form of genital mutilation.
