I'm reliably informed

"I'm reliably informed," is a phrase I use on messageboards contained like it is here within speech marks, to denote that what I'm about to say is not the absolute truth, or more likely to be a downright lie.
"I'm reliably informed" that Madonna is about to adopt several more children, as she wishes to re-shoot "The Sound of Music" with herself in the lead role and then she can make it an all family affair.
