An adjective used to describe someone who displays behavior that may be misconstrued as
homosexual towards his or her friends. Those who are homiephilic are not
gay but are okay with speaking highly of their friends' looks, behavior, or ambitions, and are vocal about their adoration or appreciation for such friends. Some
people may be uneasy with a homiephile's compliments or advancements.
Often used as a defense against allegations of homosexuality.
Alternative forms: homiephile, homiephilia, homiephiliac.
