Its when Hollywood sees a type of movie is very popular so they make a bunch of those movies until they become clicheic

Person1:what do you think about highschool movies?
Person2:that genre is just Hollywood-ification.

1.) the process any event or story goes through when being turned into a movie in Hollywood.

2.) the process any actor or actress goes through when they sell out to Hollywood

person 1: Dude, I totally bombed that test about Beowulf today.

person 2: Did you actually read the book?

person 2: No, but I watched the movie version of it.

person 2: Well, then of course you failed. The epic poem went through hollywoodification when it got turned into a movie.
