A spiritually inspired Poem written to celebrate the life of your's or anyone's Grandma when she finds a permanent residency inside your heart. Grandma's wisdom (not unlike the fathers) will never leave or forsake you. Socialism is the schooling you get at home.

Grandmas are Heroes we should all agree
My father's mother Mary taught the bible to me
I was only 5 when I learned, God's golden rule.
A full year, before my first day of school
She was the one who made sure I learned
that respect is given, it is not earned
She said for those who would disagree things always worsen
For everyone notices, a disrespectful person
When children were playing, and Grandma was near
There was no escaping, her eyes or her ears
When children would fuss and threaten to brawl
She said, "if you can't say something nice, say nothing at all"
For when the words of your mouth make others act violently
Your game of life, is best played silently.
Yes, Grandmas are heroes of this I am sure,
their smiles are a comfort their hugs are the cure.
She is always encouraging when hearing your plan.
Her food always nourishing prepared by her hand.
Grandmas will never guide you in the wrong way.
