the word “gogangok” has a complicated history. it has derived from Chaucer's 'Troilus and Criseyde' as:
Haue now good nyȝt & lat vs boþe slepe.
which after time and immense influences of different languages and pronounciations, which i don’t know about the word “goodnight” became widely used to express good wishes before an individual (or a group of neighbours) go to bed. this expression translating to polish became ‘dobranoc’. That’s when the two siblings whom teeth had gaps between them, thus had to imply overnight braces created a word that was easier for them to pronounce-‘goblanoc’, from which ‘gogangok’ originated in the late 2000 in poznan
