Gobshite goblin

Someone who doesn't care much about anything except for themselves, especially in a time of need. They tend to put themselves first in every situation.

Person 1: Where's Scomo? The country is on fire and he's no where to be seen!
Person 2: He went on holiday after Sydney filled up with smoke. He's a gobshite goblin.

Person 1: Where's Jane? I broke my foot and I need a friend.
Person 2: Jane wanted to watch a movie instead, she thought that would be more fun.
Person 1: Oh, I didn't know Jane was a gobshite goblin. You learn something new everyday
