Foddian video game

A subgenre of video games characterised by their anger-inducing, monotonous nature. The subgenre is named after Bennett Foddy, creator of hugely popular game Getting Over It. Although not the first of its kind, this game largely popularised the subgenre and brought it into the mainstream.
