In the, "Back to the Future," series, a device that, when installed into a moving vehicle that can move at or above 88 miles per hour, allows a person to travel through time. The classic case of such a time travelling vehicle is the Delorian.
Dr. Emmet Brown struck his head in the bathroom only to find that he had come up with the idea for a Flux Capacitor

Scotty, Greg and Tyler really wanted to join the fraternity, so they dropped their shorts, chubbed up and completed the flux capacitor in front of the room full of pledges.

Doc: "This is what makes time travel possible! The flux capacitor!"
Marty: impressed Flux capacitor!

a electrical capacitor capable of storing the 1.21 gWe generated by a nuclear reaction, or lightning bolt. Unique due to its size, as conventional capacitors that can handle such energy would take up the space of a small apartment complex. The device has nothing to directly with time travel, merely allowing the 1.21 gWe to be used all at once, and in phase.
"And that's when you came up with the idea for the Flux Capacitor...

A fictional device from the movie Back to the Future that allows travel through time. It can also be used as a scapegoat for computer problems when people ask dumb questions.
Some guy called me to ask me why his computer wasn't working during a power outage, so I told him his flux capacitor was broken.

A 3-pronged device which, when properly combined with 1.21 jigawatts of electricity, grants access to the fourth dimension. (The ability to travel through time.)
Just tape the flux capacitor to a car, a toaster, or any other mechanical item you can think of, and you can travel through time with it!
