I would like one as a pet, but I feel that domesticating a fennec fox would be too much like putting a fairy in a bird cage.

The fennec fox or fennec (Vulpes zerda) is a small nocturnal fox found in the Sahara of North Africa. Its most distinctive feature is its unusually large ears, which also serve to dissipate heat. I saw a fennec fox for the first time today. It was so cute and small, and those adorable ears made me want to squeeze it to death!
