Ethical Gunner 

Counterpart to the universally known and widely despised gunner .

Within the students kingdom, phylum medical students , and species gunner there is the subspecies known as the Ethical Gunner. This person has many of the typical behaviors of the gunner such as being an over achiever , constantly going balls to the walls and to some degree being a know it all .

However, the Ethical Gunner is open to helping out their lower achieving classmates in a non- derogatory ways, and generally be helpful . This is often due to them being raised in team centric environments such as high school sports or the military where being a self-centered dick is met with harsh and overwhelming criticism. Because of this, they would be just as happy getting an assist as scoring a point when playing basketball.

Key differences from the gunner include they do not try to fuck over anyone within ear shot and lack a personality disorder

Student 1: "I just got done reviewing the entire semester with Olivia, she is such a fucking gunner . She knows everything in class, published three papers, and volunteers 80 hours a week; when does she sleep?"
Student 2: "Soooo if she's also fitting in time to help you for free and has tons of other shit to do, you should probably qualify that with ethical gunner "
