Like epic fail, but specifically referring to computers being to stupid to figure out the date after a certain point. A more generic term for y2k.

Weird - my code's crashing when given pre-1970 dates.

When entering a date earlier than 1970 results in an error or crash. Coined by xkcd.

"I can't enter any of my Silver Age comics into this database. Epoch fail!"
