Imagine you are looking through a telescope, and through this telescope you can see the final result of everything. The term endoscope describes both summarizing a point and confirming your confidence in the outcome.

rear endoscope 

A lighthearted term sometimes given to the flexible endoscope that probes a patient’s lower gastrointestinal tract, inserted into the anal aperture.

My husband cleverly refers to it as a rear endoscope!
