Dutch hat trick

A sporting term in the game cricket term signifying a bowler taking 2 wickets in 2 successive balls. This is a significantly lesser achievement than taking an actual hat trick which is when a bowler takes 3 wickets in 3 successive balls. It is often used tongue-in-cheek to either hype or gently mock the bowling performance. It can be used in other sports or situations where "hat trick" is used but only 2 in-a-row of a thing occurs rather than 3 in-a-row.
John had a successful bowling spell by taking 4 wickets including a Dutch hat trick.
