Don’t quote me on that

A phrase said after a statement a person’s not sure if it is correct
-“Can you name the president of Argentina?”
-“Uh, Mauricio Macri, but don’t quote me on that”

don't qoute me on that

After trying to remember facts to relay to someone else, if one is unsure of the accuracy of the memorised facts, it is wse to add after saying them the above phrase.
I think the soviet army lost 7 million people in WWII, but don't qoute me on that. I may be getting it confused with total losses.
