determined look

The look you have on your face when you go to a field party and do a keg stand in your 20 year old letterman jacket.
Oh my god that guy is walking into beef O’Bradys with a determined look.

Gastronomical determinism

Where the duration of a meeting is extended for no reason other than to include a free lunch or dinner.
The meeting went on an hour longer than it had to. Gastronomical determinism ensured that the debate continued, focusing on meaningless issues, until the company provided lunch was served.

fache-couture

French slang, which translated, means "bull's fashion" but basically equates to "hyper trendy" or overly trendy. Used when a person wishes to express distaste at the latest fashion trend/fad, because it seems that everyone has a certain item of clothing or is wearing it. This term is most frequently heard in Paris but is slowly spreading to other parts of France.
1. That Burberry scarf is so fache-couture.
2. That purple American Apparel hoodie is so fache-couture.

A slang term for GLP-1 medications(like Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, etc.), usually referring to their appetite-killing, weight-loss, or “I forgot to eat” effects rather than the medical details.

Usage:
* Often casual, ironic, or meme-y
* Can imply effortless weight loss, suppressed hunger, or being “powered by pharmaceuticals”

Notes:
Not a brand name—just shorthand for the whole GLP-1 wave. Frequently shows up in online jokes, gym talk, and group chats where people pretend they’re *totally* doing it naturally.
“I’m not dieting, I’m just on that glippy.”
“Ever since the glippy hit, food feels optional.”
“That summer body? Yeah, glippy assisted.”

fauxstalgia

Faux nostalgia. Faking old things in an attempt to recapture the feeling of times gone past, especially of technology that has passed.
Hipstamatic pictures, just like the vinyl-static added to digital recordings, is prime fauxstalgia

Pajama casual is a term used when working from home and preparing for a video conference. All business above the waist and your pajama pants down below.
We have a Zoom meeting in a few minutes and I’ll probably go pajama casual.

funflation

The recent boom in consumer spending on entertainment and experiences with a high demand running up the cost of enjoying of those experiences.
I’m trying to go to this Taylor Swift concert but the funflation has made it so impossible for me to afford tickets.
