a horrible yankee's captain that should not even start. Shows off by diving into the stands and making acrobatic throws, but really sucks. Did not even hit a grand slam in over 30 appearances w/ the bases loaded until June 18, 2005. Overrated player that is overly cocky
"Did you see Derek Jeter strike out again with the bases loaded"

"yeah, he shouldn't even be on their 40-man roster"

Get the Derek Jeter mug.
A baseball player who plays for the New York Yankees. Many people believe he is a team player, but all he really cares about is making money for himself. He dives into the stands after he already makes catches to put on the illusion that he "had to" sacrifice his body for the people. Highly overrated. Symbol of all that is wrong with professional sports

Most well rounded player in baseball. Plays up to his high salary, will sacrafice his body to make a play. (diving into the stands face first) Hits for contact and power. Modest as hell and a pleasure to watch.
Dude, I saw Derek Jeter walking down the street and Baltimore, he asked me if I was going to the game.

Did you get his autograph?

Naw, Neither of us had a pen, but he was damn nice.

To be out with your friends at a bar very late at night and at the last minute you still manage to pull the hottest girl in the place
It was just us standing around all night until I Derek Jetered this girl that we all had hot balls for.

The starting shortstop and captain of the New York Yankees, arguably the best clutch hitter in baseball. As well as going back and forth for the American League lead in batting average in 2006, he is also the leading candidate for the league's Most Valuable Player award. He is considered by most to be a future hall of famer, and is one of the most revered and highly regarded Yankees of all-time.
Derek Jeter came up big in the clutch yet again, with a 2 out, 9th inning double, propelling the Yankees to their sixth straight win.

Extremely overrated shortstop for the New York Yankees - although he's a very good hitter (for a shortstop), he's pretty bad defensively and is waaay overpaid, even by baseball's exorbidant standards. He's baseball's equivalent of Tom Brady.
Wow! He had a .500 slugging average and drove in 100 RBIs ONCE! He almost hit 25 homers a couple of times, and he's never struck out 150 times in a season! What a fantastic player! Scott Brosius also won all of those rings! Scott Brosius is the second-greatest player ever!

A baseball player who sucks in three very specific ways:

1) so hard
2) so bad
3) wicked bad
"Man, did you catch Derek Jeter in the ALDS against the Angels?"
"Yeah, he sucked wicked bad."
