Depression good 

If you shared how you truly are, the person you’re speaking to would be horrified; but in comparison to other days living as a depressed person, you’re doing better than usual.

Mom: How are you doing?

You: I haven’t cleaned my room in over a year, showered in 4 days, and I’ve had a student loan bill under my pillow for 2.5 months; but I took my meds, went to work, and mowed the lawn today, so I think I’m depression good.

Mom: Clean your room!

The Pretty Good Depression 

The current economic downturn, which is declining quickly toward a depression. No breadlines yet, like in the *Great* Depression, but still, it is significant - let's say *Pretty Good*

(In the year 2020)

Joe History Teacher: The Pretty Good Depression started in late 2007 as wild speculation in the housing markets fueled by artificially suppressed and lax credit came to a crash, lasting until through 2011. Unemployment didn't reach Great Depression levels but did peak at over 15% in the United States.

The deep sad nostalgic feeling of departure you feel when your best friend tells you he/she has to go or feeling sleepy after a good conversation usually on Skype or any other IM app.

You : So, what's up?
Friend : My eyes are closing, I need to go to catch some sleep.
