Darkwashing

Making someone’s skin darker than their actual skin tone. “Jacob has a light skin tone. Victoria edits his unedited photo to make him look darker, even though he is not tan because she was convinced that he had a tan skin. Victoria has never met Jacob irl.”

“Darkwashing is not a thing” It is a thing. Darkwashing is just as bad as whitewashing.

Darkwashing

Known as a way to show how kpop stans make kpop idols look darker in pictures because they are convinced every single photo is whitewashed. It’s often used by educated individuals that have been silenced by others that think it does not exist. It does exist, it just doesn’t have a name.

Making someone look darker than they actually are, did not have a name; but now it has one.
Remember: whitewashing is just as bad as darkwashing.

Dickwashing 

An equivalent to whitewashing where one assumes the gender of an unspecified person to be male based on subconscious stereotyping

“Dude if my FBI agent is reading this, he’s gonna be so grossed out.”
“Bro stop dickwashing, what if the FBI agent is a women huh?”
