to make one become (more) cynical

I used to enjoy teaching, but the lack of positive student engagement seems to cynicize me further every day.

cynicide 

Awesome amount of self inflicted damage caused by being cynical of everything in general. Symptoms are:

1. Stubborn belief that all people are motivated by selfishness
2. Believing that the glass is definitely half empty, and maybe leaky as well
3. Irritable bowel syndrome (Why? Get lost!)
4. Realizing the stupidity of being cynicidal only when too much is lost, and thus lasping back into cynicidm

1. If it doesnt kill you, it only makes you cynicidal
2. The has-been actor was in a state of perpetual cynicide
