Chick: "Hey, did you hear? A train derailed killing lots of people in India."
Dude: "Really, tell me more."
Chick: "Well, the news said some people survived."
Dude: "Crying shame."

Used to describe a group of those who, often found in duo's, are avant-garde in taste, intellectual, and have a collective superiority complex.

"Hey Matt, over there, there's a couple Crying Shames."

"Pfft, check out these Crying Shames."
