Cover Down

This is a military term for aligning yourself in formation with the person in front of you, so that when viewed from the front of a formation you all are covered and aligned correctly.

In the vernacular, to cover down means to get someone's back when they fuck up.

Example: "Where is Jones, why isn't he here?"

"He's at dental sergeant."

That's covering down.
When your wife drinks too much, you cover down on that shit, hold her hair out of the toilet, and tell nobody about it.

Beat Down in the Key of Happy (live) [Cover]

A video cover sung by a small town girl from detroit, dedicated to a Hardcore/Pop Punk band, from Worcester, Massachusetts. This video was originally played and sung by the hardcore band, Four Year Strong. Beat down in the key of happy is a very upbeat feel good song. They mix that upbeat energy with hardcore riffs and breakdowns. This band is definitely a favorite to other Fans of Fall Out Boy(Take This To Your Grave), Hit The Lights, A Day To Remember. Four Year Strong however, is so popular that people attempt to cover their music on youtube, in attempts of showing their love for the band.
"Dude, did you see that cover of Four Year Strong, "Beat Down in the Key of Happy (live) Cover", by that one chick on YouTube?"

" Ya man, watched it like four times. "

You think me an old fogeyand an old tory, his thoughtful voice said. I saw three generations since O’Connel’s time. I remember the famine. Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue? You fenians forget some things. (James Joyce, Ulysses. Penguin Books,1992. p. 38)
