A very long avenue in the Denver Metro area in Colorado. Most of East Colfax has prostitutes, drugs, gangs, etc., while most of West Colfax is closer to an ordinary, middle-class street (with the exception of the area of W. Colfax in LoDo, which is rather upper-class).

"I be from da Eas Co-fax, yo!"
"My Daddy bought me a loft on Colfax in LoDo!"

A rather neglected and poor street in Denver,CO. Near East High and City Park.
On this street, there is no absence of drugs and prostitution. There is also an excess of the homeless and fast food resturants.

Colfax

A town 15 minutes north of Auburn, CA, located between Applegate and Alta. Colfax is known for it's small population (roughly 2,000) and small businesses. Colfax originally formed due to necessity to store cargo from the railroad that now runs through the small town. Now Colfax is known as a stop for people visiting Tahoe or going skiing in the mountains due to the Starbucks and multiple gas stations.

Colfax is surrounded by forestry and natural vegetation, giving other individuals the impression that many of the Colfax youth are druggies.

"I went skiing up in Boreal and had to make a pit stop in Colfax."

A very long avenue in the Denver Metro area in Colorado. It runs through an array of diverse, historic, and varying neighborhoods both east and west of Broadway. It's changed a lot over the years and has been gentrified in some parts, but the classic Colfax charm can still be experienced in some ways. It's also not really near LoDo or associated with that area in any way.

There's a lot to see on Colfax! Just ignore the terrible, inaccurate, and somewhat offensive definition I wrote in on this site in 2006 when I was young and had no idea what I was talking about.
