The act of putting a golf ball from the fairway or rough instead of chipping due to the player not being capable of executing a chip shot.

Even though he was ten yards off the green, the player chose to chiputt his shot because he is self deficient.

Chimputter

A chimputter is an office worker who spends their day working on a PC. Typically in a junior position in a role offering limited initiative. Taken for granted and usually viewed as being at the bottom of the pile. These poor unfortunates will likely be out of a job as soon as the technology allows.

No I'm not in IT as such, I'm just a chimputter.
