Caecilius is a person in a Latin textbook who never leaves his horto or his villa in Pompeii.
He is also the ghost that haunts the rest of the textbooks.

caecilius est in metella translates to "caecilius is in metella." ;) ;) ;) it's a meme among the Cambridge Latin community and is easy to put together after reading the first two or so chapters of the book.
Caecilius est in Metella. Quintus est perterritus. --> Caecilius is in Metella. Quintus is terrified.
