Cactus Cat Syndrome is a condition that affects women, primarily those in their reproductive years, characterized by persistent vaginal dryness and discomfort. The name *Cactus Cat* is inspired by the sensation of dryness and irritation, likening it to the feeling of touching a dry cactus.
Symptoms:
Severe Vaginal Dryness:
The primary symptom of Cactus Cat Syndrome is an ongoing, severe dryness in the vaginal area, often accompanied by a feeling of tightness or roughness.
Painful Intercourse (Dyspareunia):
Women with CCS may experience significant discomfort or pain during sexual activity due to insufficient natural lubrication.
Itching and Burning:
Some individuals report a mild to moderate burning or itching sensation in the vaginal area, especially after prolonged periods of sitting or physical activity.
Irritation and Redness:
The vaginal tissues may appear inflamed or slightly red, often due to the friction caused by dryness.
Urinary Tract Sensitivity:
In some cases, CCS may also cause sensitivity during urination, making it feel like the urinary tract is dry or irritated.
