The holy grail of snowboard days. Not a single cloud in the sky. Just pure, blazing sunshine and crispy, untouched lines waiting to be shredded.

Example: "Bro, did you see the forecast? It’s gonna be a total bluebird day tomorrow—get ready to absolutely send!"

blue-bird day

An expression often used by out-of-date ski bums and boarders describing an otherwise beautiful, blue and sunny day. The expression is entirely unrelated to spring or to bluebirds.

Look at the sun! It's a blue-bird day!
