Beakerface

A proponent of virtual reality, someone who straps beakers (a VR headset) to their face, in order to experience wargames, the Metaverse and similar rubbish in 3D.

Don’t ask him about the real world, he’s a beakerface.

Before he became a beakerface, we saw him at social events quite often.
