Bad Pill

A small round mass of solid medicine to be swallowed whole. Often present as a tablet, capsule, caplet, cap, gelcap, pellet, lozenge or bolus. A badpill causes more harm than benefit, in some cases life-long addiction and organ damage/failure. The term 'badpill,' originated from the subreddit 'badpill.'

Taking a high affinity benzodiazepine such as alprazolam daily for months is a bad pill according to the FDA.

Effexor while effective comes w/ outsized risk. While not a **badpill** it continues to be of concern; therefore, better options should be preferred IMO such as Lexapro
