Apartment friend

A friend that may travel a lot or has a busy lifestyle and tends not to stay in contact much, but when you do talk or meet it's as if they never left.
This can be positive or negative.

Tom is my apartment friend, we always catch up and go drinking when we see eachother.

Smells like shit because the owner locks it in the apartment all the time while the dog barks day and night.
