When someone asks you a question and you can’t come up with a good answer at that moment. Like “drawing a blank”.

In computer terms, websites will present a “404 error” when they can’t find the page or information you are requesting. 404ing is slang for your brain not being able to produce information in real life.

Steve: “So where did you end up spending NYE last year? Was it a good party?”

Nate: “Wow, I’m totally 404ing! Must have blocked that whole night from memory cause I can’t even remember right now”
