Pikeys are just basically gypsies from london, their are many big pikey families such as the Johnsons, many take part in bare knuckle boxing. Items such as a watch may be referred to by a pikey as a kettle, reasons for this i am told to believe is because of pikeys excellent 'negotiation' skills, in other words, just ripping people off.

Gypsies in the movie Snatch are referred to as Pikeys, where as in Ireland, they would be referred to as Tinkers.
