Since Skidoo trails are mostly located in rural areas, it is used to signifiy a rural born and raised narrow-minded inhabitant, who shows misplaced confidence about subjects they legitimately could be aware of by only getting out of the only city they know. Unfortunately, he consciously refuses to and by doing so, he embraces the role society made up for him: The guardian of green spaces and old school values.
