tolerance break 

A phrase used mainly by weed smokers. It refers to taking a break from smoking, or smoking less often, in an attempt to lower your tolerance to THC, and thus gain a better high each time you do smoke.

Yo man, I've been blazing up every day for a month, and it's just not the same anymore. I need to take a tolerance break.

Ow Break 

An Ow Break is whilst being in so much pain, usually being inflicted from another person, like when receiving a tattoo, you ask them to stop for a second while you simply say "ow." They then carry on.

amen break

possibly the most used and sampled breakbeat of all time. comes from the winston brothers' "amen brother" used mainly in drum 'n' bass, jungle, even some hip hop. chances are, if you listen to dnb, then you've heard it at least once.

the amen break is cool because it is so heavily compressed and it doesn't sound like banging on a tin can when you speed it up.

Permanent Break 

A permanent break occurs when an employee doesn't come back to work after going on break. A manager may also grant a permanent break for those who don't wish to come back to work but does not want to go through the formal process of being fired. The term follows the same concept of a permanent vacation as an employee who does not come back after their trip, making their trip away from the company permanent.

"Hey Larry, can I go on a break?" " Well, we are real busy right now but you can always go on a permanent break if you don't want to work here anymore."

A state of going crazy and super strong, usually due to anger. Used to kill especially strong enemies (or friends). Derived from the special attacks in final fantasy.
